Job Position Title: Python Developer

Job Location: Remote (EST Time zone)

Duration: Fulltime

Only on W2

We are seeking an experience Python developer, with web framwork experience, to join an agile team that enjoys working with open data. You should have a strong desire to work as part of a team, be enthusiastic about the job, have critical thinking skills, and have great interpersonal skills. You will interact with the customer develop solutions based on your technical knowledge, skills, and experience.

Key Responsibilites

• Modernization of sites, including CKAN for improved usability and accessibility
• Triage security and compliance issues
• Participate in agile sprint rituals, including peer review of code and pairing
• Writes well designed code following best practices with automated testing

Other professional duties maybe assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

• B.S. in Computer Science, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in open source web development
• Ability to communicate and work well with others

Required Skills

• Python - web framework experience
• Experience with python test frameworks
• Git/Github
• Willing to learn new technologies and contribute as needed

Desired Skills

• Agile environment experience
• Database fundamentals
• Frontend fundamentals (css, javascript, html, etc.)
• Real work experience with Linux
• Real world PaaS experience
