We are looking for you to join our team as a Principal Cyber Software Engineer based out of Tampa Fla. As a Principal Cyber Software Engineer at Northrop Grumman you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. You will be working with our experienced engineering team developing workflows to support Department of Defense Cyber efforts. These workflows are tailored engineering efforts for networking products integrating current and future cyber systems.

We're looking for a highly motivated individual with an impeccable work ethic and a strong ability to work in a collaborative fast-moving dynamic team environment. The primary team will be located in Tampa, Florida. Our ability to communicate / coordinate highly technical requirements with team members is a priority due to competing priorities and demanding deadlines. Ideally, the candidate should be familiar with the use of various tools to enable a DevSecOps lifecycle, to include build, release and configuration management, and has demonstrated the ability to move DevSecOps processes from concept to implementation. You should be willing to work in a team environment using a Scrum/Agile methodology. You should be able to work within a strict change management environment with the ability to document and test all changes prior to implementation. You will perform technical, operational, and security risk analysis for new changes and technologies and articulate risks in a succinct manner. You will be expected to quickly adapt new technologies to avoid limitations and obsolescence of both tools and systems.

This person designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. They will conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. They will determine computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. The will ensure software standards are met.

You should apply g eneral frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques and demonstrate the skill and ability to perform moderately complex professional tasks. You should be able to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of increasing scope and complexity as assigned. Your work will be reviewed for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy. You will work under general supervision. You will contribute to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Experience with software development especially in Python or JavaScript
• Experience programming in Web Frameworks especially Django
• Experience working with RESTful APIs
• Familiar with Atlassian application suite (Jira, Confluence, Fisheye, Crucible) or similar
• Familiar with other DevOps tools (e.g. Jenkins, Synopsis, SonaType)
• Familiar with SAFe, Agile, and SCRUM methodologies and processes
• Familiar with designing and developing release cycle and deployment operations.
• Familiar with Source Control and Version tools (e.g. SVN, Git, GitLab, Bitbucket)
• Familiar with Application Containerization (e.g. Docker)
• Experience delivering solutions in an air-gapped system is beneficial

We are looking for energetic DevSecOps Developer Engineers with additional experience in some of the following skillsets:

• CI/CD and automatic testing frameworks (e.g. Jenkins)
• Automation testing (e.g. Selenium, Unit)
• Software Containerization (e.g. Docker)
• Container Orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes)
• Database configuration and manipulation (e.g. MySQL)
• Virtualization technology (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V)
• Issue and Project Tracking (e.g. Jira, Bugzilla)
• IP networking and routing and Software Defined Networking (SDN)
• Experience with BASH scripting
• Able to work in Linux/Unix/Windows environments

Basic Qualifications:

• 2 Years with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years with Masters; 0 with PhD / NOTE: Four (4) years of additional experience can be substituted in lieu of degree
• US Citizenship is required with an active DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance which was active in the last 24 months
• Must possess or be able to obtain DoD 8570 Certification for IAT Level II or higher within two (2) months of starting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with automation design, service integration, and systems engineering is preferred.
• Bachelor's or higher degree in a technical field highly desired
• 2+ years of experience in development principles and technical implementations
• 2+ years of experience in automation of applications and frameworks

Salary Range: $96,400 USD - $144,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
