Our client, a communications agency, is growing and seeking an Account Manager with agency experience, and a background in PR and Communications.

The ideal person will be in San Diego, or nearby to come onsite (when safe) part-time.

As the PR Account Manager, you will be client-facing, and providing leadership to a team of senior account executives, account executives, account managers, and account coordinators.

This person will ensure that their teams deliver creative a forward-thinking client service. They are responsible for providing client updates and fostering relationships to identify key needs and services.

Additionally, the PR Account Manager will be instrumental in helping to further grow the U.S. consumer practice. This will include RFP ideation, development and pitching, involvement in the recruitment of additional consumer team members, and working hand-in-hand with the Vice President on managing relevant international relationships across the agency as it relates to consumer clients/prospects.

As the PR Account Manager, you will split your time handling client management, team development, media relations, content creation, reporting, and digital and social efforts.

The ideal PR Account Manager will have:
• A deep background and knowledge of the current consumer landscape
• A desire to be actively involved in growing an agency practice area
• Recent experience working in a consumer or digital communications agency environment at a Senior Account Manager or Account Director level
• Be well-versed in social media and the integration of digital marketing into the PR landscape
• Demonstrable success at securing new business and increasing client revenues
• A track record of retention and the profitable growth of existing accounts
• The ability to provide consultancy on PR requirements as well as a broader marketing strategy
