PL/SQL, Informatica, python and AWS. BUT this is a Database Development role first and foremost, so please do not send cloud engineers or big data people with some PL/SQL in their background, not what we are looking for. Role with be heavy client facing as well so comms and experience working and dealing with customers is a must.

Asset Management Technology is looking for a hardworking, highly motivated Senior Database Engineer with solid understanding of programming fundamentals, software design and practices to join our Engineering team, developing solutions using Oracle – PL/SQL, ETL, Informatica, VBA, Python and cloud supporting the Asset Management organization. The candidate should possess quality to work closely with business users in Quant and BI Reporting related work.

The Expertise You Have

• 5+ years of experience in multiple IT areas that include Database development, Data Warehousing, mid-tier development & Cloud services
• Proven data modeling and solution design experience
• Industry experience working with BI solutions using SQL, OBIEE, and Tableau
• Bachelors or Master’s Degree in a technology related field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Software) required

The Skills You Bring

• Sophisticated working SQL and PL/SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases and data warehouses
• Demonstrated expertise with MS excel based programming using VBA
• Curiosity and passion about data, visualization and solving problems.
• Experienced with data normalization and denormalization techniques
• Experience in query performance tuning for reporting solutions in particular
• Experienced with unit testing and automation testing frameworks
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services
• Experienced in supporting and working with business partners in a dynamic environment
• Good interpersonal and communication skills including written, verbal, and technology illustrations
• Capacity to quickly understand and incorporate new technologies
• Good control on Agile methodologies
• Experience with Asset Management data and structures, in addition to working with a data access layer using R or python a plus
