Responsible for supporting, coordinating and maintaining the databases by installing, configuring, troubleshooting, upgrading, performance tuning, backup/restore, security, auditing, production support, migration the databases.
Responsible for the administration of 12c/18c/19c ORACLE databases on prem and AWS cloud, RAC, OEM. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2008 or greater) or PostgreSQL is a plus.
Installation of new software: Install / assist with the installation of new versions of ORACLE/SQL server software (RDBMS & Application server). Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
Independently analyse, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
Share domain and technical expertise with team members.
Identify, suggest and promote best practice in existing areas.
