Experience Needed:

• We need 6+ years of experience and they must run tasks independently once a direction is given.
• Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle server software and related products.
• Sound backup and recovery procedures.
• Hands on experience with DataGuard switch over and upgrades.
• Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges).
• Provide feedback on vendor application database tuning and performance monitoring.
• Plan growth and changes (capacity planning).
• Work as part of a team and provide 7x24 support when required.
• Perform general technical trouble shooting and give consultation to development teams.
• Interface with Oracle Corporation for technical support.
• Good understanding of the Oracle database, related utilities and tools.
• A good understanding of the underlying operating system.
• A good knowledge of the physical database design.
• A sound knowledge of both Oracle and operating system performance tuning and monitoring.
• Knowledge of ALL Oracle backup and recovery scenarios.
• A good knowledge of Oracle security management.
• A good knowledge of how Oracle acquires and manages resources (locking).
• A good knowledge of Oracle data integrity.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
• Database Tuning, tracing, trace analyzer, RDA.
• Understanding of the Oracle licensing to the level that he/she knows what features are licensed.
• DBA must have experience on Oracle Install, Cloning, Major Upgrades, Patching Upgrades, PSU Patches, CPU patching, One off bug patching, patch rollbacks [For current version -2].
• ALL types of RMAN Recoveries and Export/Import.

Nice to have:

• Evaluate Oracle features and Oracle related products.
• Review of Vendor Database design and of vendor application Oracle database implementation.
• Setup and maintain documentation and standards.
• Experience in code migration, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle.
• Communication skills with management, development teams, vendors and systems administrators.
• Setting and tuning system parameters.
• Tuning the operating system, network, and transaction processors to work with the database.
• Enabling the database to work with storage devices and storage management software.
• Interfacing with any other technologies required by database applications.
• Shell Scripting, Automation, and Self-Service offerings (APEX).
• Hands-on experience with GRID/OMS, adding targets, setting up monitoring, configuring agents, and upgrading the OMS.
• Service-Now ticketing system and CMDB.
