Oracle Database Developer - W2 Contract (12+ months)

Remote to start. In Q2 or Q3 it is expected to sit onsite in Jersey City NJ or Charlotte NC.

Overview:

This position is for an Oracle Developer to assist in the new project in the financial industry domain. This is an exciting project using a modern stack of Java and JavaScript technologies to deliver high-quality cutting edge web applications using Oracle backend 19c. The candidate must have a demonstrated track record of developing high-quality code using Oracle11g+. She or he must be able to work independently with a high degree of self-discipline in a fast-paced agile environment, where strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Strong communication skills is MUST
2. Design, develop, implement and test complex queries and PL/SQL programs.
3. Perform peer reviews and identify, coordinate, and execute technical debt removal wherever possible
4. Write automated unit and integration tests using SQL developer.
5. Deliver high quality code to realize business requirements, with an eye on keeping technical debt low and test coverage high

Required Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must have the following minimum experience:

1. 5+ years of experience as Oracle database developer
2. Strong proficiency with Oracle PL/SQL development
3. Able to write complex queries and PL/SQL programs.
4. Knowledge of Oracle objects
5. Good understanding of Normalization, renormalization and star schema
6. Good understanding of data warehouse concepts
7. Good knowledge of Unix shell scripting
8. Working knowledge of GIT
9. Knowledge of AutoSys
10. Experience in performance tuning
11. Experience using Scrum and following Agile best practices
12. Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills
13. Desired Skills: Informatica
