NodeJS / Java Solution Architect

The NodeJS / Java Solution Architect is responsible for full delivery of end to end system development and maintenance on medium Enterprise wide technology platforms.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Creates architectural solutions that articulate the business context, conceptual design, and component-level logical design.
• Recommends new technologies based upon business value drivers and return on investment
• Drives new technologies towards implementation and exploitation
• Works on infrastructure improvements for the application along with devops & development teams
• Works with product owners, performance testing team and dev leads to improve application performance and improve security
• Establishes overall systems architecture vision and ensures specific components are appropriately designed and leveraged
• Contributes to the holistic vision of Enterprise Architecture.
• Defines architecture standards and anticipate areas where architecture standards may need to be developed that are in-line with customer, IT and industry standards.
• Directs the construction of architecture components (e.g., data architecture, application architecture, technical architecture).
• Works with business units to translate business strategy into discrete requirements compatible with current technical architectures.
• Defines systems, technical, and application architectures for new strategic initiatives;
• Develops and maintains an architectural blueprint and evolutionary roadmap that defines and communicates
• the strategic direction for these architectures in support of business and technical strategies;
• Explains how the roadmap maintains and delivers cost effectiveness, business value, and competitiveness.
• Ability to be hands-on on AWS, node js, APIGEE, Angular, React Native is required
• Ability to debug issues related to application, network, security, performance and provide input to dev team
• Should be able to produce physical architecture diagrams and recommend feasible improvements
• Should be able to work with dev team to come up to have a good backlog of tech debt features to improve application
• Should be able to coach and train dev leads
• Should be familiar with industry standards, design principles, new technologies in the market

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in related field
• 3+ Years of experience on AWS
• 5+ years of experience in REST API/Microservices development using Java/Node JS technologies
• 3+ years of experience on NoSQL database such as Mongo DB
• 5+ years of experience on web applications using JavaScript related frameworks
• 2+ years of experience providing technical solutions and designing systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Mobile application development experience is preferred
