Job Description

Stable, mid-sized financial service firm is seeking an agile developer to work closely with business analysts, product owners, and other developers to deliver high quality technical solutions.

Responsibilities will include:

• • Crafting creative and practical solutions to problems and expressing them in code.

• • Performing code reviews.

• • Helping to train and mentor the team.

• • Designing performant technical solutions.

• • Fixing defects.

• • Following and proposing technology standards.

• • Implementing automated testing.

• • Collaborating in team meetings.

Candidate Requirements

 

• • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent is required.

• • Approximately 7-10 years’ experience in software development.

• • .NET, C#, HTML 5, CSS 3.0, and JavaScript, experience required.

• • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• • Experience building microservices and event driven architectures, domain models, and user interfaces preferred.

• • Experience delivering applications with Docker containers preferred.

• • Experience building RESTful services on Windows using IIS, Web API, HTTP, ADO.NET/Entity Framework.

• • Familiarity with Bootstrap, React, Kendo UI, and other JS frameworks a plus.

• • Knowledge of SQL Server, MongoDB, Kafka a plus.

• • Application Lifecycle Management using Visual Studio, SSDT, Azure, and Git.

• • Knowledge of fixed income, insurance, and private investing would be beneficial.
