Job Details

• Responsible for Linux-based systems supporting an application development environment
• Managing daily operations of the Linux/Windows environment and handling backup/recovery (including disaster recovery) of system data
• Routinely ensure all data is properly backed up
• Responsible for ensuring backup system is properly functioning and periodically test backup system by restoring files
• Promptly address system security and virus incidents discovered
• Install/configure/monitor/maintain all Linux based servers as well as Linux server based apps
• Create and keep updated Linux server documentation along with Linux system administration processes/procedures
• Ensure Linux-based systems have correct patches installed which could include: security, applications, OS, etc.
• Create/deploy/maintain Linux desktop and notebook distribution packages for software applications as well as images
• Responsible for making sure systems are running current versions of antivirus software with current virus definition files
• Create/maintain security groups and user accounts
• Recommend system enhancements, including but not limited to, servers, applications, storage, processes, and procedures
• Notify management when additional system resources are required and when existing resources should be retired
• Assist the help desk with tickets as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

• MUST have an active Secret Clearance
• Strong background in a Linux environment
• Agile principles/practices knowledge
• Knowledge on CI/CD and how to configure PaaS
• Docker and Kubernetes
• VMware ESXI
• Active Directory
