The Secure Computing Digital Technology team is looking for a motivated Linux Administrator to be responsible for the deployment and maintenance of Linux systems with a focus on container platforms and High-Performance Computing.

You will work with a dedicated team of IT architects, system administrators, and support professionals to deploy and manage programs that meet the strict requirements of our internal customers and the United States Government.

This position is on-site in East Hartford, CT and may require approximately 10% off-shift, on-site work on a monthly basis.

Responsibilities include:

• Administration of Linux servers and High-Performance Computing (HPC) clusters.
• Implementation and maintenance of next generation IT Infrastructure (Cloud, Containers, DevOps).
• Implementation and maintenance of Kubernetes clusters.
• Technical support (installation, configuration, maintenance, upgrade, retirement, troubleshooting).
• Configuration management using frameworks such as Ansible, Puppet, and Chef.
• Administration of high-speed network storage systems.
• Implementation of DoD STIG Hardening.
• Collaboration with Software Development groups on strategy and implementation of the DoD DevSecOps Initiative.
• Development, maintenance, and usage of standard work and documentation.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT or Business, with 5+ years of related experience OR

advanced degree with 3+ years of related experience.

• U.S. Citizenship required due to government contractual requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain US security clearance at the Top-Secret level.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Security+ and technical certifications.
• 5+ years as a Linux Systems Administrator, preferably Red Hat.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects.

• Proficiency scripting in BASH, Python, PowerShell, and other languages.
• Active Secret or Top-Secret Security Clearance.
• DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification - ex. Security+, CySA+.
• Technical Certification - ex. Linux+, RHCSA.
• Familiarity with security hardening guides & tools (DISA STIGs/SCAP).
• Experience with DoD Platform One.
• Hands on experience implementing and administering Kubernetes platforms (Rancher, Tanzu, etc.).
• Working knowledge of Layer 2/3 switching, VLAN, VXLAN, inter-VLAN routing, LACP, subnetting, etc.
• Experience with InfiniBand high-speed interconnect fabrics.
• Experience managing HPC batch scheduling and tools. IBM LSF or SLURM is preferred.
