Description: Our client is currently seeking a Linux Administrator

Provides technical support for Linux platform issues with minimal oversight. Identifies, resolves, or escalates hardware or software issues that span multiple technology domains.

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Designs, implements, and deploys platforms to support and meet business needs. Identifies opportunities for improvement, escalating as necessary.
• Monitors and supports multiple technology domains/platforms through the use of monitoring tools and applications. Maintains proficient knowledge of software and infrastructure platforms.
• Trains and mentors staff and IT project teams, providing guidance and consultation as required. Writes and maintains documentation for the department.
• Administers Linux systems by actively managing patching, routine maintenance and backups to include the scheduling and execution of related tasks.
• Provides Teir2 technical support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux server, VMware, and physical hardware. Supports Linux-based services such as MQ and TC Server.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
