Our Corporate Technology department is seeking a highly talented and motivated Linux Administrator to join a talented team tasked with managing a robust virtualized environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the current virtualized LINUX environment, while planning for the future needs of the dynamic environment running multiple custom-built client web and traditional packaged applications.
  • Use professional skill, tools and vendor support to monitor, troubleshoot and remediate issues related to infrastructure security, stability and performance.
  • Maintain a secure infrastructure based on corporate security policy through the use of best practices, OS controls and supporting security tools.
  • Manage all-flash array, load balancers and enterprise backup/restore processes supporting the hosting infrastructure.
  • On-call responsibilities as part of a rotating schedule, as the environment is supported on 24x7 basis.

Qualifications:

  • BS Computer Science, related degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years managing a Linux environment with the majority related to RHEL 7.
  • Experience with Linux security, SIEM, system scanning, application control, audit logging and remediation.
  • Experience with installation, administration and updating of web application infrastructure similar to Apache HTTP Server and Tomcat running Java and PHP applications in a highly available environment.
  • Working experience with scripting, automation and orchestration technologies such as Perl, Python, Ansible, SaltStack, etc.
  • Knowledge of Java and PHP languages, along with MySQL and Oracle databases, is a plus.
  • Additionally, qualified candidates will have the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and have good communication and interpersonal skills.
