Position: Linux Administrator
Location: New York City, NY
Compensation: $110,000 - $140,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Job Description:

This Client, a leading Managed Services Provider to Enterprise and Government customers is hiring a Linux Systems Administrator for its NY/NJ regional operations center.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for all aspects of Systems Administration, including optimization, security, maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Work with internal team members on complex technology projects, upgrades and new services offering, and will work closely with Network Engineer, VOIP/UCaaS Engineer, Security Engineers, Product Managers, Service Delivery, NOC and SOC Operations Specialists.
Work on performance tuning, system monitoring, and virtualization issues.
Works closely with company teams in the Network Engineer and Network Operations Center (NOC) and will eventually require regular office or NOC presence in one of the firm’s locations in Metro NY/NJ.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferred with a strong preference for Computer Science focus or an equivalent experience.
3+ years of substantial Linux Systems production environment required.
Service provider, SaaS, cloud infrastructure provider or Enterprise environment preferred.
3+ years of experience with one or more of the following Linux Deployments: RHEL, Ubuntu, or Debian.
Scripting A MUST for automation: (Shell, Perl, PHP, other).
Must have experience with LAMP stack, Tomcat, JAVA.
Strong preference for candidates with VMWare ESX/ESXi.
One or more CSP: AWS , Azure and Google.
Network skills should include: IP Networks, Routing Protocols, SSl VPNs, Edge Security, IPSEC Tunneling.
Must collaborate well with internal teams, stakeholders and external partners.
