As the Lead DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for the production infrastructure that supports our platform and tools to ensure we can get the food to the people! This role will initially require hands on work but the ideal candidate is eager to take ownership of their domain and experienced at building a team and system around them to scale with the rest of the company. The ideal candidate will be confident in their ability to standardize and scale systems like Heroku, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform. You will help take our site to the next level as we strive to achieve an E-commerce 2.0 experience and pioneering an online food ordering experience, where your food options are not limited by your zip code.

• • Plan, build, and maintain Heroku and AWS environments
  • Maintain and improve our CI and CD systems
  • Create a sustainable plan for scaling our infrastructure
  • Improve and automated All The Things™
  • Collaborate with other engineers on our Product team

Qualifications

• • 3+ years experience building and deploying applications in Ruby and/or JavaScript
  • 4+ years experience working in a DevOps role
  • 4+ years experience deploying to AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or equivalent
  • Experience designing, documenting, and deploying development pipelines that maximize engineering's ability to quickly and safely build features
  • Desire to set & meet aggressive goals
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with a risk management mindset
  • Good team communication and collaboration skills

Technologies

• • Experience with containers and orchestration tools like Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with event streaming platforms such as Kafka, and RabbitMQ.
  • ElasticSearch configuration and scaling.
  • Experience with monitoring and log collection services like Datadog, Logstash, Splunk, and Kibana.
  • Experience with database administration and monitoring, MongoDB and Postgres.
  • Bonus Pointer: AWS Certification(s) such as Solutions Architect Pro, DevOps Engineer Pro, SysOps Admin, Developer Associate.
