JavaScript / StencilJS Engineer
Mid to Long term contact position -- 100% remote, NO travel, can live anywhere in the US

We are looking for a Frontend/UX Engineer with strong JavaScript experience to join our growing design system engineering team. You will work in a blended team of designers and engineers building web components, writing documentation, managing build pipelines and helping engineers across the enterprise use the design system.

What you can expect to do:
Implement designs into easy-to-use web components using StencilJS and Tailwind CSS.
Write intuitive documentation to help engineers understand the components you create.
Create, manage and maintain pipelines and artifacts in Azure DevOps.
Communicate with other developers about how to effectively use design system components and packages.
Contribute ideas and insight towards creating a growing enterprise design system.
Work closely with designers to complete requirements and provide technical feasibility.

Who you are:
You are a self-starter, like working independently and like to take ownership of what you create.
Strongly interested in learning about new technologies and finding productive use cases within a code base.
Very experienced with writing modern JavaScript including ES2021, web components, yarn workspaces and TypeScript.
Experienced with dev ops processes and tools like Microsoft Azure.
You understand accessibility use cases, standards and how to best integrate accessibility into web components.
You have experience writing unit, integration and e2e tests using Jest and any integration testing library.
You have experience with operating and maintaining frontend environments with webpack.
Minimum 3+ years of hands-on JavaScript development experience with design system experience being a plus.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Programming/Systems Engineering, comparable technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.

Nice to haves:
Experience with versioning and release strategies.
Experience streamlining development environment resulting more efficient workflows.
Experience with using proper CSS to implement designs.
Experience with mobile languages: React Native, Swift, Kotlin, etc.
