Integration Architect

1. Overview

The Integration Architect-Senior will be responsible for providing technical solutions to a variety of enterprise-wide business problems. The Integration Architect-Senior will be responsible for ensuring business strategy, industry standards, technologies and relative trends are reflected in the architecture. The Integration Architect-Senior will also be accountable for analyzing and designing solutions to meet enterprise-wide business requirements and guiding the implementation team to successful solution implementation which account for the complex interdependencies of the enterprise landscape and leads teams of architects, application developers, and other IT resources to automate manual, repetitive tasks. Working with the Enterprise Architecture, IT Leadership, Department Heads and Executive Team leaders, the Integration Architect-Senior will help guide enterprise architecture and its implementation. Senior architects may be called upon to explain technical concepts in layman’s terms to audiences at all levels in the organization. Integration developers and architects will report directly or indirectly to the Integration Architect-Senior.

1. Qualifications
2. Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s desired. Four (4) additional years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
3. Six (6) years of professional experience as a Software Architect and five years in software development with demonstrated results in design, analysis, implementation, testing, problem solving, and support required. Knowledge of health care payer business is preferred.
4. Advanced understanding of enterprise architecture.
5. Experience with methodology-based development (SDLC). Agile experience preferred.
6. Experience with Application Lifecycle Management tools.
7. Experience with the following is required: Java, JSON, XML, SQL.
8. Experience with Python, Spring, Spring Boot, AWS cloud technologies and containerization preferred.
9. Experience with continuous integration tools required.
10. Ability to articulate designs to other technical staff through discussion, diagrams, and writing.
11. Demonstrated experience of application design principles and application architecture.
12. Demonstrated ability to interpret technology and market trends as a foundation for technology and application roadmaps.
13. Ability to navigate and work with both Linux and Windows.
14. Expertise with at least one object-oriented language/platform and experience with other software development paradigms such as functional, procedural languages, and/or message-oriented-middleware.
15. Experience with messaging platforms is desired.
16. Strong experience developing server-side applications and web services.
17. Deep understanding of relational database design SQL. Experience with Oracle and No-SQL databases preferred.
18. Experience integrating multiple custom and 3rd party systems.
19. Ability to lead teams, work as part of a team or to be self-directed as required. Leads by example and serves as a mentor for other team members.
20. Good organizational and communication skills; ability to guide development of various-sized projects and lead teams of architects and developers.
21. Experience with automated unit testing required. Experience with automated functional testing methods preferred.
22. Experience writing and facilitating Requests for Information/Proposals.
23. Experience estimating projects for multiple IT functions.
