Job Description

Aqueduct Technologies is seeking a IT Support Engineer on a contract to hire basis for our customer in Boston, MA. The IT Support Engineer will also be responsible for maintaining operations of the IT services and productivity of end users. The IT Support Specialist will be actively involved in both daily operations as well as project related work. Daily operations will entail coordination and execution of technical support services for users of the company’s IT systems including incident and request responses and resolution. These activities include responding to user problems for both software and hardware applications, as well as performing installations, modifications and repairs on personal computers, peripheral devices, and software.

Other daily activities include tracking hardware and software inventory and providing user training on the use of standard software. Project related work will entail a wide variety of activities including hardware and software migrations, deployment of new services as well as periodically performing basic programming and scripting as required.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Process all access related tickets including but not limited to account creations, account setups, terminations and access changes
  • Ensure all tickets are completed within defined service level agreements.
  • Deploy and maintain software and hardware related components necessary to deliver IT services.
  • Delivery of New User IT onboarding training.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of end user hardware and software.
  • Configuration and maintenance of Active Directory policies.
  • Configuration, maintenance, and deployment of O365, Share Point, OneDrive, Box and MS Teams
  • Configuration, maintenance, and deployment of SCCM packages.
  • Maintenance and utilization of MDM system.
  • Other duties as required or directed by the Manager

Skills and Education:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience working in an IT role required
  • Must have strong technical trouble shooting and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a wide variety of people, with an emphasis on understanding and appreciating cultural differences.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences industries preferred.
