Role: Google Cloud Platform Data Architect

Location: CA / NJ / TX (Remote)

Job Type: Fulltime / Permanent

• Understand & be expert in integrating Google Cloud Platform based data technologies
• Good understanding of open source, commercial and SaaS data technologies
• Work closely with customer to map existing data platform around Teradata to Cloud based tool choices.
• Drive pilots, spikes to try out new-age technologies to check feasibility of using them.
• Identify & develop appropriate design patterns to build end to end data platform.
• Work closely with customer & persistent leadership to translate vision to WBS (work break-down structure)
• Review deliverables from the team to ensure good quality & future readiness.
• Plan & Own delivery on behalf of the team.
• Participate in deep technical discussions with internal and customer stakeholders
• Lead & guide 2-4 cross-functional POD teams.

Required Skills:

• Prior experience in handling end to end architecture. (back-end, front-end, DevOps)
• Strong thought leadership in exploring ideas and recommending appropriate solutions
• Prior experience in dealing with fast faced multi-skilled agile teams.
• Prior experience of working in Google Cloud Platform data platform
• Good familiarity with at least few areas of Analytics. Some examples below
  • BI (Tableau), DWH (BigQuery), ETL (Dataflow/Dataproc, DBT, Matillion/Informatica/Talend)
  • Security & Governance of data platform
• Understanding of DevOps and container/Docker technologies.
• Highly technical and hand-on in both tactical and strategic capabilities.
• Confident interacting with business peers to understand and identify use case, with a strong ability to articulate solutions and present them to business partners.
• Demonstrated ownership of planning and executing with small team. Providing guidance & mentorship to junior team members.
• Outstanding collaboration and communication skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with distributed teams. Effective communication & empathy in customer interactions.
