Purpose of the role

Working collaboratively and creatively as part of a close-knit design and engineering team, you will be part of the development process from end to end working to build the next generation of the Company' s design system to be used in projects across the organization. You can balance consumer needs with business goals and know how to deliver technical solutions that enhance business value. Creative, curious, and highly analytical, you never stop learning and thrive on constant change in the digital marketplace.

Responsibilities:

• Work with internal and consultant designers as well as engineers from other teams to understand the challenges of efficiently delivering consistent, integrated user experiences
• Collaborate with colleagues in product design, product management and systems architecture to develop design systems components for enterprise-wide consumption
• Market your innovative ideas internally and evolve them according to feedback and critique within an agile environment.

• Stay on top of industry trends and best practices to continuously improve what we do and ensure our customer experience is the best it can be.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• In-depth Experience as a software developer working with product teams.
• In-depth knowledge of front-end programming languages/platforms such as JavaScript, CSS, HTML, SASS

• In-depth Experience with design systems and framework development is preferred.
• Experience with implementing web accessibility standards is preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills

Experience in the following required:

• HTML5/JavaScript
• CSS3/SASS
• JavaScript Frameworks
• Responsive design

• General W3C Standards
• Reusable Code and Libraries
• Security Compliance
• Unit Testing

Experience in the following is a plus:

• Web Accessibility Standards
• Design Systems development and implementation
• Front-End API/Framework designs
• Automated/Performance Testing
• Continuous Integration
