DevOps Engineer - Consultant

Work you'll do:

Grow your DevOps skills in a dynamic and collaborative environment within the public sector supporting a variety of clients. Work with cutting-edge DevOps technologies, playing a critical role in designing, building and running DevOps Assembly Lines for new development and software modernization that runs on any-compute (on premise and multi-cloud). As a core member of our Software Factory Platform and Product team, build innovations on top of a leading Kubernetes container scheduling platforms, and apply API/microservice patterns. Apply your creativity to deliver solutions that solve problems, improve business operations, and simplify technology advancement for mission critical public sector clients. Desired Skills

  • Participate in DevOps assessments using Deloitte's DevOps accelerators, participate in client value stream mapping sessions to identify continuous improvements
  • Learn and develop DevOps design and delivery for one or more of the following:
    • Configuration Management
    • Continuous Delivery (CI/CD pipelines)
    • Test Automation
    • Infrastructure-as-code strategy, automation, operations (on and off premise)
    • Monitoring strategy, automation
    • Shift-left security (exposure to application and infrastructure security controls)
  • Strong core technology skills in Linux and software development (e.g. Java, .Net, Angular, Python)
  • Appetite to follow a senior mentor to grow and maintain strong DevOps expertise and knowledge of current and emerging DevOps processes, techniques and tools
  • Opt in for DevOps, software and systems engineering training and certifications
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills



Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University
  • 2+ years of applicable software, systems engineering experience
  • 1+ years of DevOps experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

We develop service-oriented architecture (SOA) and other integration solutions to enable information sharing and management between business partners and disparate processes and systems, and we deliver technology enablement to support CIO services transformation.

Systems Engineering professionals focus on key client issues that impact the core business by maximizing operational value, driving down the cost of quality, and enhancing technology innovation. Our teams deliver a wide range of services, including application architecture design and optimization, application modernization, business process management and solution integration, custom application design and development, and large-scale technology delivery program efforts.
