Role: Database Developer

Location: Phoenix Arizona

Duration: Long Term contract

Local and Non-Local - Non-Local must either be willing to relocate or willing to travel to Phoenix

Position Description:

Prefer someone in Phoenix. Not onsite but, would like to be able to meet them now and then as some projects require face to face interactions.

translates user’s needs into a sound database design with tables, fields, and relationships documented

Experience with Data warehouse, Data lakes in cloud.

Reviews, evaluates, designs, implements and maintains company database

Implement and review appropriate security guidelines/mechanisms

Develop and test database migration procedures

Documents data requirements in a logical Entity Relationship Diagram

Troubleshoots application key selection, creation of appropriate indexes, and query needs

Hands on development with Microsoft SQL Server - including Management Studio Transact-SQL, table/view design and stored procedures.

Developing Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) packages using SQL Server Integration Services

Extracting data from disparate data sources - including SQL Server, DB2 and others

Developing Tableau dashboards containing compelling data visualizations.

Publishing Tableau dashboards to Tableau Server.

Ability to conduct root cause analysis and performance tuning

Working experience in Agile project environment

Preferred Qualifications:

MCSA SQL Server or equivalent

Tableau Desktop Certified Associate

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.

Certification / Working experience in Azure / Google Cloud Platforms

Conduct Meetings

Deliver DTS specific extracts, reports and artifacts

AS part of the centralized Data Services team, support teams in planning, sizing, prioritizing project activities. Recommend the right technical solutions based upon documentable facts.
