SUMMARY

The Database Developer is responsible for the overall strategy, design, and development of databases used in support of core applications. The Database Developer will work alongside application developers as a member of the development team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop and implement database systems based on customer requirements.
• Optimize database systems for performance efficiency.
• Prepare design specifications and functional documentations for assigned database projects.
• Develop database tables and dictionaries.
• Create complex functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers to support application development.
• Participate in database design and architecture to support application development projects.
• Test databases and perform bug fixes.
• Troubleshoot database related issues in a timely fashion.
• Develop best practices for database design and development activities.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

3+ years’ experience:

• SQL
• PL/SQL
• Analyzing Data Objects
• Database Optimization
• Linux
• Scripting
• Knowledge of Java is a plus
• Experience with BI tools and processes is a plus
• ETL experience is a plus
