Leidos Public Health Division is seeking qualified Database Administrators in Atlanta, GA, contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for performing tasks relating to Database Management System (DBMS) applications, including definition, design, structure, documentation, upgrades, long-range requirements, operational guidelines, and protection. Duties include database modeling and design, relational database architecture, metadata and repository creation. Uses data mapping, data mining and data transformational analysis tools to design and develop databases. Support duties may include entering and reviewing data within the database, ensuring user data integrity, maintaining database support tools, database tables and dictionaries, recovery and back-up procedures, and making recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements.
Administer databases related to systems and applications in development and testing phases. Administration must include planning for performance levels and space allocation requirements that are consistent with OCIO hosting requirements. The Database Administrator (DBA) shall design and implement databases, consult with developers to be sure that databases are optimized for performance and coordinate as necessary with the OCIO hosting team. The contractor shall maintain the database system in the development environment and work closely with deployment team and OCIO to ensure the integrity of the production environment. Contractor shall plan for and implement upgrades as new releases of software are made available on the CDC consolidated platforms
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelors' Degree or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience administering Oracle databases
Oracle Database Administrator Certifications a plus
Relevant AWS certification preferred
Ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance
