Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a Database Administrator to support the Maryland Intelligence Customer in Annapolis Junction, MD. The program supports enterprise wide analysis capabilities for the IC customer. The program is 7 years long with 5 years left. The efforts of the program include the development and sustainment of integrated, capabilities enhancements that promote the modernization of visualization and presentation tools across the agency space.

Responsibilities for the Database Administrator include:

• Maintains multiple databases through disaster recovery, performance analysis, and tuning, index maintenance, and monitoring of data
• Administers database user accounts
• Evaluates and recommends available database management system (DBMS) products
• Performs Oracle, SWL Server, and SYBASE Database and Application server administration
• Organizes and formats data for efficient query and storage processes
• Develop policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database(s)
• Support data modeling activities by way of prototype database implementations
• Direct the monitoring, administrating, and implementing performance on database systems as well as database performance optimization, developing/changing database indices, redesigning database structure, and reloading data into a database
• Directs the installation of database management systems, databases, tables, and views
• Directs the administration and use of current and emerging database tools, strategies, and technologies

Qualifications for the Database Administrator include:

• An Active TS-SCI with a Full Scope / Lifestyle Polygraph
• At least 10 years of DBA experience
• A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university or at least 4+ years of DBA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree

Compensation for the Database Administrator include:

• $150,000 - $175,000 /Yr. based on experience
