Job Description
Provides technical expertise in deploying and supporting medical device and software integration in healthcare environments. Requires the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams that include customer resources in collaboration with internal clinical and technical professionals. Responsible for deploying, configuring, monitoring, and improving PostgreSQL databases at customer sites. Duties include performing database administrator tasks including monitoring user access and security, monitoring performance and managing parameters to provide fast responses to front-end users.
Responsibilities
Adheres to all environmental, health and safety SOPs, equipment, policies and procedures, including any department specific requirements. Installation, configuration, and support of highly available database systems Advanced database administration and optimization Provide technical and operational support activities for customer production databases
Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors. Responsible for the monitoring and uptime of all production databases Participate in a 247 support rotation
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Database Administration experience: PostgreSQL experience preferred Experience in database performance tuning and optimization Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards Experience with Linux and Windows Server environments Extensive experience with database technologies (MySQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) Experience integrating and administering block storage systems Knowledge of Linux system administration Experience with cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure) a plus
Ability to work in evenings, including the weekends and holidays, as needed. Ability to work independently and with team members from diverse backgrounds
