The Database Administrator I will provide routine maintenance and administrative support for company SQL databases - including backup/restore/validation/tuning, writing and evaluating stored procedures and working with developers to implement SQL instances to support critical business applications 
 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Provide multi-faceted knowledge and expertise including management of corporate data, providing backup and recovery strategies, collaborating with development teams, performing maintenance and optimization, as well as importing and exporting data.
• Administer various SQL Server DBs (versions ranges from SQL 2000 up to SQL 2016), third-party and Maxim-developed.
• Review stored procedures and tables/indices to ensure optimal performance.
• Ensure the reliability of data through backup and recovery plans
• Create stored procedures for recurring tasks and tune SSRS jobs
• Research data/performance issues and propose preventive actions and implement effective solutions
• Assist in implementation and management of database security and best practices in adherent with HITRUST principles
• Assist application developers in administration of required SQL database tasks
• Assist with documenting new practices and changes in SQL environments
• Perform other duties as assigned/necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• At least two (2) years of experience in the field or in a related area required.
• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the database administration field required.
• Knowledge of ETL Processes using DTS/SSIS packages preferred.
• Knowledge of Replication and AlwaysOn Availability Groups preferred.
• Knowledge of cloud database environment, specially Microsoft Azure SQL Servers and databases preferred.
• Knowledge of SQL 2000 / SQL 2005, Experience with SQL 2008 R2 – SQL 2016 preferred.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
