Description

This role supports strategic development and leads analytical initiatives that harness product potential across the combined businesses serving schools (yearbook, scholastic and college). Tools will be used to help drive merchandising performance (business and product line demand data, order/ship tracking, salesforce and marketing communications, account/pricing/discounting data, commission and margin reporting, contracted and projected reporting, business intelligence tracking etc.).

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible to work with sales as a business partner and be a finance liaison for key indicator reporting, tracking and communication across product lines
Manage reporting and execution of marketing and sales initiatives through analysis and metrics
Generate sound strategic insights from multiple, often complex raw data feeds, using expert understanding of analytical and statistical data analysis techniques
Inform and test base data models, review and revise data engineering (API inputs, ingestion scripts, etc), run descriptive visualizations on tableau and develop explanatory, predictive and optimized models
Assist in build out and use of Tableau, training and building dashboards. Collaborate with cross functional team (IT and Financial Analysts)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting
Minimum 7+ years of experience in financial, sales and customer analytics
High level of business acumen, with critical thinking, problem solving and analytic skill
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with all levels in the organization
Experience with developing Tableau dashboards
Experience in building complex financial and statistical models
Flexibility, balancing hands-on coding and modelling (existing and new build models) on a frequent basis
Programming experience in Python and SQL
Experience in presenting & communicating complex projects to non-technical teams
Team player with a collaborative mindset, always prioritizing impact for the business
Understanding of big data principles and technologies with a working knowledge of data integration
Experience in effectively sharing data between multiple systems
Excellent time management and organizational skills, having proven ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks

Preferred:
Strong mathematical and statistical analysis skills.
