Job Description

SkyePoint Decisions is looking for a highly motivated, team-orientated individual to support IT Operations and Maintenance to the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA). DCAA is currently migrating and managing Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) workloads utilizing the Microsoft Azure. We are currently interviewing for a Cloud Network Engineer to support an initiative to migrate the enterprise environment into the cloud. IAT Level II certification and applicable computing environment certificate in accordance with DoDD 8140.01 or DOD 8570 “Cyberspace Workforce Management” is a requirement due to compliance with DOD 8570 IAM continuing education certification for technical administrative access to government systems.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cloud management functions to include all facets of system and storage administration tasks, cloud migration, cloud management, documentation, and architecture, design, and integration of new technologies into existing on premise and cloud systems
  • Be responsible to provide system upgrade support and all facets of future planning associated with delivery of on-premises infrastructure and cloud capabilities as defined by the DCAA enterprise architecture
  • Maintain currency with the design and development of systems like those implemented in the current data center and cloud architecture
  • Provide recommended changes or strategies with the government
  • Ability to identify current or anticipated problem areas relating to data center hardware and software systems and present technical issues of interest or value to the government
  • Develop and maintain all documentation SOP’s, COOP Plans, operation guides, white papers, infrastructure diagrams, etc
  • Responsible to provide all facets of architecture of current and future cloud services and solutions that provide infrastructure capabilities to include providing all facets of transition and/or modernization support services to migrate data center on premise capabilities from the current hosting environment to the cloud provider
  • Providing operational input and support for the maintenance, and refinement of DCAA’s cloud environment
    • Solving network connectivity issues, adding/modifying NAT entries and firewall rules to enable connectivity
    • Provide network configuration support and provide documented architecture packages
    • Coordinate required changes working alongside on premises network and firewall teams
    • Support Cloud Architects to provide operational network architectures to meet mission system and development environment requirements
    • Responsible for the configuration and support of VPN backbone connections for cloud connectivity

Qualifications

  • Must have an Active Secret Clearance or higher
  • Requires DoD 8570 (or DoD 8140) IAT Level II certification and applicable computing environment certificate in accordance with DoDD 8140.01 or DOD 8570 “Cyberspace Workforce Management” This position requires compliance with DOD 8570 IAM continuing education certification for technical administrative access to government systems
  • Eligible for IT Level 1 background investigation
  • Requires 7 years of progressive experience in securing, protecting, analyzing, monitoring, and implementing Network tools
  • Shift adjustments or on-call support may be required to support operational service outages or to meet contractual service level performance requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Azure security controls on production systems
  • 5+ years of Network Engineering experience
  • Experience with DISA Cloud
