Infra and Data Warehouse migration are must have

* Networking experience (TCP/IP, physical + Kubernetes networking)

* Strong Linux skills (we're on Ubuntu 18.04)

* Elasticsearch, Kibana, Prometheus

* Rancher / Kubernetes

ELK stack potentially somewhat data… but essentially infra mod folks savvy in k8s / operations should have this background.

Role:

We need our Engineers to be versatile, entrepreneurial, and enthusiastic to tackle new problems within the reverse logistics industry as we continue to push our technology forward each day. You will work on the very foundation of our systems, both on-premise and in the cloud, as you are responsible for all the mechanisms that drive our development cycle - from databases and Kubernetes to CI and application deployments.

This role will be responsible for:

• Preventing downtime is our number one priority. You’ll identify, investigate, and solve errors in various components of our infrastructure.
• Follow software development best practices when making changes to the infrastructure. We put a premium on infrastructure as code!
• Take part in designing future infrastructure architectures and best practices. We instrument our infrastructure to track growth demands, so you can make capacity planning decisions based on a plethora of metrics.
• You will take part in discussing the future of our infrastructure with the Infrastructure team and stakeholders. We also love teaching each other about subjects that we are passionate about!
• You will assist developers in deployment and operationalization of their applications.
• Even the most well-designed systems sometimes need a little maintenance. You will be a part of our rotational on-call shift and help doing maintenance on production and non-production systems during off hours.

Required qualifications for the role:

• 2 years experience in DevOps, Infrastructure or SRE
• 2 years of Linux administration
• Excellent shell scripting skills
• Experience with mixed cloud / on-prem environments
• Experience with Linux Containers and/or Kubernetes
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• A love for building and tinkering!

Preferred qualifications for the role:

• Security+ certification
• Knowledge of one or more programming languages, e.g. Ruby, Python, or Go
• Knowledge of Linux / Kubernetes / container networking
• Knowledge of Kubernetes security best practices
