Cloud Automation Engineer
Summary
As a member of the Application Operations Team, you will support the stability, integrity, and efficiency of production applications in a Cloud environment. Routine support activities include monitoring applications, partnering with team members to implement automation, performing moderately complex maintenance tasks, coordinating incident management, providing deployment support, performing disaster recovery exercises, creating procedural documentation, and participating in on-call rotation involving evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain automated solutions to streamline and improve daily operation support.
• Implement enhanced monitoring using tools and custom scripts.
• Research new automation capabilities and solutions to identify areas for improvement.
• Actively identify and troubleshoot issues related to poor application performance, job failures, file receipt and application outages in production environments.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies.
• Perform incident management.

Requirements

• 3 years of IT experience.
• Working knowledge of AWS Cloud architecture.
• Experience supporting modern CI/CD pipelines using DevOps tooling (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, Bamboo, GitLab, Maven, Nexus, Fortify, Sonar, etc.).
• Associate’s Degree in Information Technology or a closely related field from a technical/vocational school, an accredited college or university; or equivalent combination of directly related education and/or experience.

Preferred

• Experience supporting Terraform to deploy AWS Cloud Services.
• Site Reliability Engineer experience.
