Roles and Responsibilities

Location : Mumbai (Permanent work from home for outstation candidates)

Notice period : 30 to 40 days

Required skills:

• Fluent knowledge of latest HTML/CSS standards and best practices
• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, React and Node.js
• Solid Understanding of HTTP protocol and how server-side code is processed on the client
• Working knowledge of front-end optimisation and performance techniques
• Obsession with lean, clean and organised front-end code
• Cross-browser development and troubleshooting
• Experience building responsive websites for web, tablet and mobile devices
• An eye for detail
• Able to handle multiple projects and competing deadlines
• Good understanding of overall web design including basic usability, accessibility, industry standards, architecture, and navigation

Added advantage:

• Experience on React Native
• Experience with deployment processes such as Heroku, AWS, CI / CD (Code pipeline/Jenkins)
• Twitter Bootstrap and LESS/SASS
• GraphQL, Apollo, SQL
• Integrating unit testing into development
• Prior experience on Agile Methodologies
• Basic experience on Photoshop or Sketch

Key responsibilities:

• Translate Wireframes into functional web apps using HTML5, React, Node.js, and similar
• Binding of UI elements to JavaScript object models
• Creating RESTful services with Node.js
• Architect scalable web solutions
• Work in a cross-functional team to deliver a complete user experience
• Strong unit test and debugging skills; able to create unit and integration tests to ensure the quality of code
• Be responsive to change requests and feature requests
• Write code that is cross-platform and cross-device compatible
• Ability to wear many hats and learn new technologies quickly
• Experience working collaboratively in an Engineering team with frequent communication with stakeholders
• Well-versed with version control with GIT, BitBucket, SVN or similar
• Knowledge and understanding of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends and emerging technologies
• Explain technologies and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Diagnose bugs and other issues in products
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximise development efficiency
