Roles and Responsibilities

The Technical Delivery Lead/Manager will work closely with the program manager, business, vendors and other members of the IT team in providing Technical and Delivery leadership. This role is expected to drive results, proactively identify and resolve problems.  He / She has the primary responsibility to ensure that the build and test teams produce the required standard of quality and within the specified constraints of time.  

The Technical Delivery Manager will manage the work scope (tasks, milestones, & dependencies) and resource needs within and across teams. Identify and qualify project risks, issues and scope changes and assist in their tracking using delivery management tools and defined processes.  

Additional accountabilities include:  

• Ensuring continuous improvement and communication of global delivery practices, process and tools across Solution Delivery
• Monitoring for results and execution against work plans
• Establish, maintain, enhance and champion delivery management methodology, standards, and procedures for assigned team 
• Vendor management around managed services or contractors from third party service providers.

Principal Accountabilities

Leadership:

• Leads periodic reviews utilizing expert knowledge of the technical delivery process.
• Provides mentorship, coaching and development for team members and functional leads as appropriate.  May directly supervise team members.

 Execution: 

• Leads the execution of build and test activities
• Utilizes the delivery management framework to achieve program objectives.

 Project Control: 

• Monitors and controls interdependencies within the workstreams and address escalated issues.

 Business Results: 

• Accountable for delivery
• Accountable for providing stakeholders with a routine status of the project, actively communicating issues and threats, and ensuring that leadership alignment is a priority.
• Works with business to ensure product is successfully implemented and benefits and value are captured for high cost and risk programs.
• Capture lessons learned.

Desired Candidate Profile

Technical Skills: 

• NET Core Technology Stack
• Experience with  React or similar frameworks
• Services offered by Cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, Google cloud
• Containerization with Kubernetes and Docker
• CI/CD
• API Gateways, proxies and networking in general
• At least theoretical knowledge of theory and challenges around distributed systems and architectural patterns

Nice to Have

• Akka.Net or similar distributed appl framework, ideally based on actor model
• Experience with designing scalable/parallelizable algorithms/data structures
• Good understanding of SQL Server data management and integration options
• Familiarity with GIT version control system
• Ability to create scripts to automate builds and deployments (e.g. using sh, PowerShell or equivalent)
• Integrated UIs with push notification technologies (e.g. SignalR, WebSockets).

Qualifications 

Required Education, Experience, Skills

• 10 to 15 years of Technical Delivery management experience
• Negotiation, facilitation, stakeholder management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels within the organization
• Strategic thinking/problem solving 
• Proven team leadership/coaching/mentoring 
• Comfortable with ambiguity, active inquiry skills 
• Relationship building at all levels and cross-function/platform
• Manage or supervise the team in a global or virtual environment
• Vendor management

 Preferred Qualifications

• CTRM/BFSI experience preferred
• Masters Degree (nice to have)
