We are looking for a talented Sr. WordPress/PHP Developer having good experience in PHP programming. He / She can work on PHP web application using CodeIgniter and also WordPress.

The candidate will be expected to use available material resources and/or consult with development experts/ technology teams to advance the resolution of the issue in a timely manner. Advanced WordPress and Open source development knowledge and good problem- solving skills are required for this position.

Sr. WordPress/PHP Developer is an important position in the company, an experienced professional having relevant experience in the industry can perform well.

Sr. WordPress/PHP Developer works in deadlines and it is generally a high pressure result oriented job.

Role

• Designing and implementing new features and functionality.
• Establishing and guiding the website’s architecture
• Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS application as well as custom development using PHP.
• Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin.
• Providing timely resolution to reported problems with existing websites.
• Working closely with both the design and project resources to achieve the best possible results in web projects from conception right through to delivery.
• Define project technical requirements alongside other members of the creative team.

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant technical or professional experience
• Experience of working in metrics driven and / or agile environment

Job-related Skills (Technical & professional skills that the person must have to be effective)

• Sound knowledge of Open Source, WordPress, Woo-Commerce
a. Knowledge of existing inbuilt WordPress functions.
b. Creation of custom post types.
c. Creation of plugins/widgets written to conform to WordPress coding standards.
d. Creation of clean, logical, well documented, optimized and re-usable code.
e. Theme/template integration.
f. Optimization of code and database queries.
• Expert level PHP specifically in CodeIgniter and MYSQL skills are required with demonstrated ability to solve complex problem.
• Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery.
• Working experience on WordPress Plugin development is must.
• Working experience on MySQL database (the WordPress default database).
• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
• Presentation skills.
• Should have knowledge of project/business requirement understanding.
• Experience with any other e-Commerce platform a major plus
• Ability to self-organize and work effectively within a small team with minimal supervision.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as GIT, SVN
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required due to dynamic nature of team discussions
