Job Purpose:

The successful applicant will be part of Scrum Team, engaged in all phases of the software development life cycle which include:
• analyzing user/business system requirements
• design and develop robust system solutions that meet defined system requirements
• test and debug programs to meet business needs
• sometimes interaction with direct third party partners in the achievement of business and technology initiatives.

Job Level Summary Information

Scope

The candidate will work with the Building Automation System, connected product team to develop high quality feature. This includes representing Johnson Controls at customer locations to deliver rich UI application to manage Building Control System.

Knowledge:

Primary Skills

• Technical expertise with C#, ASP.net MVC, ASP.net Web API (RESTful), SQL Server & LINQ
• Experience with Unit Testing Frameworks and Concepts
• Familiar with Object Oriented programming, including Design Patterns
• Exposure on writing detailed designs.

Secondary Skill
• Sound knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, CSS Preprocessor(LESS/SASS), jQuery & AngularJS
• Understanding of Single Page Application

• Understanding of responsive web development
• Experience with code management, change tracking, and team collaboration tools (e.g. GitHub, JIRA, etc.)

Problem Solving:

• Solid analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Candidate must be able to solve problems that arise throughout the development lifecycle.

People/Function Management:

• Provides technical assistance as necessary to other team members.
• Participates in knowledge/technology transfer initiatives as requested.
• Provide assistance to testers and support personnel as needed to determine system problems

Supervision Received:

• Ability to work under minimal direction in collaboration with a team of engineers. Will be managed and mentored by technical leader.

Customer Focus:

• Position will require to do R&D of third party tools on requirement basis to meet the expectation of stakeholders.
• Demonstrate technical acumen in order to gain credibility amongst key internal stakeholders.

Interpersonal Skills:

• Good writing and communication ability.
• Comfort in presenting to and speaking with mid management.
• Should have can do attitude and initiative to start and complete the assigned activities.
• Good team player.

Preferred Education:

BE/B.Tech/MCA - preferred.

Minimum Preference Experience:

Must have 4-6 years software development experience on web based applications
