This is an exciting opportunity for a QA Analyst to work for a reputed MNC client of ours. The role offers an excellent compensation package plus great on the job training in the financial services sector.

The QA Analyst will be a key member of the QA team focusing on the functional and non-functional aspects of the Trading platform testing and will be responsible for providing both automated and manual testing of the software delivered by the Developers.

The QA Analysts will be expected to work in close collaboration with various Development teams, Production Support Group and at times with traders and researchers to provide a high standard of testing services to ensure that the software deliveries to production are of high quality

Roles and Responsibilities

• Work with various development teams and other stake holders to understand the scope, requirements, come up with test plans, and participate in test plan reviews and executing them.
• Provide meaningful estimates and deliver to deadlines
• Perform Functional, Non Functional, Regression , ad-hoc testing
• Identify the candidate areas for test automation and write groovy scripts to automate these.
• Demo the new functionality to the Production Support Group for appropriate releases.
• Ensure everything related to QA process is well documented like test plans, knowledge bases, information about testing tools etc

Desired Candidate Profile

Essential

• 4+ years relevant experience in a QA role especially working on both server and GUI components.
• Experience working with databases (Preferably SQL server), and hands on sql to view and manipulate data
• Understanding of full Software development life cycle.
• Some experience with at least one scripting language or a high level language like python/groovy/java and the willingness to learn and grow in this area.
• Experience of both Linux and Windows environments, scripting and tools.
• Well organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple streams of work
• Excellent communication skills

Beneficial

• Experience with FIX Protocol
• Finance domain experience and understanding about various financial instruments (equities, futures, options, FX)
• Familiarity/Experience with a commercial off the shelf automation tool or an in-house test framework

Educational & Professional Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA level or equivalent. Candidates from leading institutes will be preferred like REC/NIT/IITs/BITS/similar.
• Any stream preferably with mathematical, computing or engineering subjects
