Contract Description

We currently have a contract opportunity for a Senior Project Manager - Contractor to lend specific subject matter knowledge around helping clients to improve the operational effectiveness and efficiency of their tax functions and assist them to better connect with executive management.

• We offer a broad array of services, including transformational program management, tax accounting, compliance process improvement, enhancement of tax processes and/or technology to deal with ongoing legislative and regulatory changes
• You will be working with clients to improve the operational effectiveness and efficiency of their tax functions and assist them to better connect with executive management
• Depending on the needs of our clients and your work experience, there are many different types of projects you could be working on
• Some examples include setting up and managing large scale managed services programs and/or tax transformation projects
• You could also be faced with identifying ways to improve operational effectiveness in tax functions, reviewing the process and controls that are in place including technology, looking at effectiveness of the various technology systems our tax clients use to increase automation and data quality throughout tax processes, assessing the overall risk to establish a proper control environment; designing and building custom tax applications

• Identification and escalation of program and project-level risks and issues
• Understanding in conducting dependency analyses across an integrated workplan containing multiple workstreams or projects
• Ability to coordinate with functions outside of Tax
• Have the demonstrated proactive ability to team with and motivate others, and willingness to develop meaningful and influential relationships with clients and colleagues
• Experience using MS Project and/or other project management tools
• Nice to have - Exposure to the financial services industry, accounting/finance/tax, tax or finance performance improvement, tax software development and/or implementation
• Nice to have - Knowledge in implementing tax technology and/or other technology solutions (e.g., CorpTax, ONESOURCE, Sabrix, Vertex, SharePoint, PFI, RPA software)
• Nice to have - Knowledge of how to embed tax requirements into financial/business systems and processes (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, PAM, Investran)
• Nice to have - A bachelor's degree and approximately 5 years of relevant work experience; or a master's degree and approximately 1-2 years of relevant work experience
• Nice to have - A Project Management Professional "PMP" certification
