You will serve as a Senior AI Engineer within the Advanced Technology Collaborative and create innovative solutions within the Home Care, Predictive Healthcare and/or Conversational Voice domains. Primary Responsibilities:

• Collaborate to define and shape the Art of the Possible
• Research, invent, design and build novel AI solutions and train Machine Learning models to address the biggest opportunities in healthcare
• Build out distributed training of large models for large datasets
• Mentor and develop junior engineers in the AI/ML spaces
• Develop a prioritized set of technical issues/shortcomings and/or data access challenges that would benefit from the application of AI/NLP solutions
• Deliver strategic technical recommendations to address current, near-term and future technical needs
• Make recommendations relative to when to modernize, rewrite, and/or leverage 3rd party technical assets
• Influence the technical and business communities in UHG alike
• Demonstrate business acumen and vision to disrupt healthcare
• Publish academic papers at top tier conferences and journals
• Ability to incubate novel trends in AI

Required Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, AI/Machine Learning, Statistics, Optimization or related discipline

• Experience with Tensorflow, Pytorch and/or equivalent AI libraries

• Experience with cloud based (GCP, Azure, AWS) infrastructure and services

• Experience with different Deep Learning model architectures (ie,Transformers, CNN's, and RNN's)

• Strong drive to build new architectures and find new insights and \"AUTOMATE ALL THE THINGS\"

• Demonstrated ability to read, synthesize and adapt academic research to actual production stems

• TA track record of shipping software products

• Advanced degree in relevant area

• AI publications and/or conference presentations desired

• Experiences in software development and/or infrastructure in an area other than AI/ML preferred

• 8+ years track record of advanced AI research and development

Preferred Qualifications (either one or combination):

• PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related quantitative discipline

• Academic publications in AI at top tier conferences or journals

• Experience in Healthcare

• Demonstrable experience in building end-to-end AI systems

• Demonstrable academic or industry experience in Speech AI

• Demonstrable academic or industry experience in Natural Language Understanding

• Demonstrable academic or industry experience in Image Processing

• Demonstrable academic or industry experience in Deep Learning

• Demonstrable academic or industry experience in Classical AI (search and planning)

• Demonstrable academic or industry experience in Reinforcement Learning

• Demonstrable academic or industry experience in Bayesian Statistics

• Demonstrable academic or industry experience in Causal Inference

• Demonstrable academic or industry experience in Ethical AI

• Experience building and running ML algorithms in constrained environments (i.e., Mobile Phones)
