Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities :

A data engineer with AWS Cloud infrastructure experience to join our Big Data Operations team. This role will provide advanced operations support, contribute to automation and system improvements, and work directly with enterprise customers to provide excellent customer service.

The candidate,

1. Should be available to work on rotational night shift

2. Proven hands-on experience as a Full Stack Developer (2+ yrs)

3. 2+ years of experience in developing web applications and familiarity with common stacks

4. Worked on multiple front-end languages (e.g. HTML/CSS, JQuery, JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS/ReactJS/VueJS)

5. Worked on multiple back-end languages (e.g. Java/Python/NodeJS etc)

6. Familiarity with databases (e.g. MSSQL/MySQL/Postgres/Dynamo etc), web servers (e.g. Apache/Nginx) and UI/UX design

7. Hands-on exp in hosting applications to AWS

8. Working experience and good understanding of AWS Cloud

9. Knowledge on Terraform scripts for Infra setup will be an advantage

10. Knowledge on Serverless technologies like Docker, AWS EKS etc

11. Monitoring: Hands on experience with monitoring tools such as AWS CloudWatch, AWS CloudTrail, Datadog and Elastic Search

12. Knowledge on DevOps automation - Orchestration/Configuration Management and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab runner etc)

13. Version Control: Working experience with one or more version control platforms like GitHub or GitLab

14. Networking: Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, SMTP, HTTP, load-balancers (ELB) and high availability architecture

15. Demonstrate successful experience learning new technologies quickly

What will be the roles and responsibilities?

1. Work with product owners to ideate software solutions

2. Design client-side and server-side architecture

3. Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design

4. Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications

5. Write effective APIs

6. Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency

7. Create procedures/run books for operational aspects of AWS platform

8. Improve AWS infrastructure by developing and enhancing automation methods

9. Research and deploy new tools and frameworks to build a sustainable big data platform

10. Troubleshoot issues to resolve problems

11. Track all details in the issue tracking system (JIRA)

12. Provide issue review and triage problems for new service/support requests

13. Fulfil any ad-hoc data or report request queries from different functional groups
