Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities :

A data engineer with AWS Cloud infrastructure experience to join our Big Data Operations team. This role will provide advanced operations support, contribute to automation and system improvements, and work directly with enterprise customers to provide excellent customer service.

The candidate must have,

1. An overall 4+ years of experience in IT with AWS Infra operations. Should be available to work on rotational night shift

2. Very good knowledge and work experience on AWS Services like CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Kinesis, S3, Lambda, ELK, EMR, API GW, Advanced IAM etc [Min 3 yrs of exp]

3. Hands-on experience working on Python or Node JS [Min 2 yrs of exp]

4. Experience on Infra as code” automation like Terraform

5. Debugging skills on JAVA, experience on DevOps tools, Hadoop, Apigee will be an added advantage

6. Develop scripts and manage databases like PostgreSQL/MySQL/DynamoDB

7. Hands-on expertise with monitoring tools like DataDog/Splunk/Nagios etc

8. Version Control: Working experience with one or more version control platforms like GitLab, GitHub or Bitbucket

9. Demonstrate successful experience learning new technologies quickly

What will be the roles and responsibilities?`

1. Must hold very good communication skills as he/she might get involved to talk with leadership and top management team

2. Provide advanced business and engineering support services to end users. Raise flag at the right time

3. Lead other admins and platform engineers through design and implementation decisions to achieve balance between strategic design and tactical needs

4. Lead Agile/Kanban workflows and team process work

5. Troubleshoot issues to resolve problems

6. Provide status updates to product owner and stakeholders

7. Track all details in the issue tracking system (JIRA)

8. Provide issue review and triage problems for new service/support requests

9. Write up tech docs and on ops activities to refer and continuously improve over the time

10. Fulfil any ad-hoc data or report request queries from different functional groups
