Sr. Software Engineer

As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will be using your analysis, design and programming skills to enhance existing systems and build new systems for solving business problems. You will breakdown complex ideas into implementable tasks tickets registering the approach. You will create design & specification artifacts, perform code reviews, implement validations and support activities in line with the architecture. You will be technically proficient bringing in your expertise to figure out customer’s real needs and assess against system and technology constraints. You will work closely with the project manager/architect and lead the developers in the team.

Responsibilities:

• Solving problems in the best way, backed with data and logic

• Investigating and understanding current system design and technologies

• Articulating end to end Business needs to Clients and Software Engineers

• Analyzing different possible solutions for a given problem/requirement

• Creating work breakdown of ideas for system improvements at Code and Database level

• Preparing detailed requirement specifications and validating UI/UX with Designers

• Adhering to existing release processes and add beneficial amendments

• Ensuring compliance across Dev teams and Ops teams as well as training team when necessary

• Liaising with clients for maintaining the systems once they are up and running

Skills:

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Understanding of On-prem and Cloud Infrastructure

• Ability to prioritize and switch between projects based on team needs

• Experience using Database technologies both SQL and NoSQL databases

• Experience securing systems at App, DB, Network, and OS levels

• Knowledge of different Web protocols and technologies

• Knowledge of Agile software development process

Technologies:

• Strong development experience in Java or .NET Core

• Strong understanding of Spring Boot and Spring Security

• Proficiency with JUnit and other unit testing tools

• Experience using Maven, Git, Postman, Tomcat, Docker

• Strong SQL, PL/SQL skills with Oracle, MySQL or SQL Server

• Experience with API Integrations using REST, GraphQL or SOAP

• Experience with messaging systems like RabbitMQ, Kafka

• Experience with planning and deploying apps on Linux and Windows servers

• Automation skills using Shell Scripting, DOS, Python or any other tools

• Experience with AngularJS or ReactJS is a plus

• Experience in any one of AWS, Azure or GCP is a plus

• Creating UI prototypes is a plus

Basic qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

• Minimum 5 years of Software Engineering experience

• Professional Certifications in related fields is a plus
