Job Description

 

- Enterprise-grade - nix experience ( esp. Ubuntu and CentOS both )

- Must have experience setting-up and managing IaaS accounts (viz. AWS, GCP, Azure, Digital Ocean etc.). Detailed knowledge of AWS is preferred.

- Must have knowledge of at least one scripting language (PHP and Python are preferred)

- Knowledge of a compiled language shall be an added advantage (JAVA and Go are preferred)
- Must have coded pieces of/complete application software and understands as well as brings novel/simple solutions to the challenges faced by developers

- Must understand the concept of Infrastructure as Code

- Must have understanding/implications of Microservices. Experience working with FaaS viz. AWS Lambda shall be a plus

- Must understand the concepts of Scalability, High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), Business Continuity, etc.

- Must have experience with backing-up of various components of the infrastructure including but not limited to databases.

- Experience with usage and setup of monitoring tools like Cloudwatch, NagiOS, Monit, Munin, NewRelic, etc.

- Experience with logging tools like the ELK stack is a plus

- Experience setting-up/maintaining versioning systems like Git etc.

- Experience setting-up Servers viz. Nginx (knowledge of tuning is a plus)

- Experience setting-up load-balancing using AWS ALB, ELB, NLB, Nginx and HAProxy (knowledge of tuning the same is a plus)

- Experience managing security via security-groups

- Experience setting-up MySQL servers (MySQL), replication, clustering, etc.

- Experience with MySQL replication set-ups and maintenance

- Experience with code-deployment

- Knowledge/Experience with Intrusion Detection and Vulnerability Analysis is a plus

- Knowledge of orchestration tools like Ansible is a plus

- Knowledge Containerization via docker and Kubernetes is a plus

- Experience with security concepts and best practices is a plus

- Experience setting-up CI/CD flow is a plus

- A willingness to work with and deploy cutting-edge technology

- Bachelor degree, with a technical major in computer science
