Job Title: IT Engineer - Infrastructure Automation

POSITION SUMMARY:

As an Infrastructure Automation Engineer, you will be primarily responsible for:-

• Design and implement the overall architecture of new systems from an infrastructure, networking, security, and scalability perspective.
• Architect and build frameworks, tools and services that enable us to automate the product/service.
• Collaborate with engineering and product leadership to define priorities and set delivery goals for IT Infrastructure Products on Public clouds
• Provide operational and technical support to enhance scripting and automation within the infrastructure team
• Advance automation within infrastructure and help the teams work smarter and more efficiently through automating repeatable processes
• Leverage scripting and tools to drive Cloud Resources/Service configuration compliance
• Work with System/DevOps engineers to solve complex issues

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Be responsible for the technical solution by providing leadership for the project managers, domain architects, domain specialists and application engineers to advance and deliver solutions
• Analyzing, executing, and streamlining DevOps practices
• Automating processes with the right tools
• Facilitating development process and operations
• Setting up a continuous build environment to speed up software development and deployment process
• Architecting overall, comprehensive, and efficient practices
• Guiding developers and operation teams in case of an issue
• Consult and Inform Enterprise Architects and Senior IT Architects to design and deliver solutions
• Assess merits of alternative technical approaches and gain consensus for the best approach
• Learn, follow, promote, and improve recognized methodologies to design and deliver solutions
• Ensure that the non-functional requirements are satisfied including, but not limited to, security, disaster recovery, availability, and performance
• Research technology and industry trends to hone both personal and Cepheids competitive edge through modeling or prototyping, validate a solution before full implementation
• Apply recognized system sizing methodology
• Vet change(s) for scope, schedule, cost, risk, etc.
• Define processes and methods necessary to support delivery/deployment
• Perform root cause analysis and remediation actions
• Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy
• Engage with third parties as needed
• Organize verbal and written ideas clearly and use an appropriate business style

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience (in years):

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant discipline
• 8+ years of software design and development experience
• Mandatory AWS DevOps Professional Certification
• Previous experience working in Cloud or SaaS operation team
• Knowledge of scripting technologies, such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, Ansible
• Knowledge of building IT Infrastructure Products using AWS Cloud formation, AWS Service Catalog, AWS Code Build, AWS Code Commit, Code Pipeline, Chef, Puppet, etc.
• Working knowledge of Automation service provisioning and middleware configuration
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
