As part of Optum, the Engineering team plays a key role in defining and growing DocASAP's intelligent, market leading platform. You will play a significant part in supporting the transformation and scalability of our platform to meet the market needs. You will be supporting and driving the DocASAP SaaS capabilities, responsible for building and managing our APIs.

Experience administering MySQL server including
Good understanding on performance tuning, query optimization & index tuning.
Knowledge of MySQL backup solutions
Well equipped with Installation and configuration aspects of MySQL.
Experience with tools from the Percona Toolkit suite.
Past experience on working with MySQL version Upgrades.
Experience running on Cloud Services such as AWS RDS or hosting providers like Rackspace.
Proficient Understanding of GitHub as a source control system
Experience with Nagios, Percona Monitoring Plugins, Prometheus, and other monitoring tools
Exposure to PHP preferable, good to have not mandatory.
Exposure to any Graph database, good to have not mandatory
Functions may include database architecture, engineering, design, optimization, security, and administration; as well as data modeling, big data development, Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) development, storage engineering, data warehousing, data provisioning and other similar roles. Responsibilities may include Platform-as-a-Service and Cloud solution with a focus on data stores and associated eco systems. Duties may include management of design services, providing sizing and configuration assistance, ensuring strict data quality, and performing needs assessments. Analyzes current business practices, processes and procedures as well as identifying future business opportunities for leveraging data storage and retrieval system capabilities. Manages relationships with software and hardware vendors to understand the potential architectural impact of different vendor strategies and data acquisition. May design schemas, write SQL or other data markup scripting and helps to support development of Analytics and Applications that build on top of data.
