Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop sustainable processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy
• Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, sales initiatives, and business strategies
• Formulating, suggesting, and managing data-driven projects which are geared at furthering the business's interests
• Build algorithms and design experiments to merge, manage, interrogate and extract data to supply tailored reports as per business needs
• Use machine learning tools and statistical techniques to produce required solutions to problems
• Suggesting ways in which insights obtained might be used to inform business strategies
• Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques
• Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets
• Use predictive modeling to optimize inventory management, sales processes, product data management, and other business outcomes
• Collaborate with Sales Operations and other cross-functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes
• Other related duties as assigned

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelors degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related area of study
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a Data Scientist / Software developer
• Proficiency in R or Python, MS Azure, in-depth understanding of SQL
• Experience in Business intelligence tools like Tableau, Power BI, MS suite, SmartSheet
• Experience in the development, validation, and implementation of machine-learning algorithms and models; understanding of real-world advantages and limitations of each
• Capable of building sustainable, scalable, and strategic solutions with strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent English language written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and demands in a fast paced, time-sensitive environment
• Thrives in an environment of change and ambiguity
