Job Description
Are you an experienced and talented data centric engineer, architect or developer that can lead an end data management and analysis program. Do you like working with very large datasets, databases and applications including; GCP, AWS, Hadoop, SQL Server, Spark, S3, Shell and Tableau? Key Responsibilities:
Lead the architecture, design, and development of components and services to enable data management and analytics at scale within an enterprise context, and using latest cloud platforms
Identify and recommend the most appropriate paradigms and technology choices across all aspects of data management and analysis
Transform existing legacy data assets by analysing existing data structures, business logic and APIs, and utilize suitable patterns to unlock data and functionality
Analyze requirements and estimate effort, timeline, dependencies and risks
Actively participate in discussions on design and architectural approach with our enterprise architects
Coordinate development work and hold technical discussions with other team members contributing to the project, including our customer teams in Europe
Create technical specifications and design documents
Partner with cross-functional teams of architects, engineers, analysts, PMs, and customers
Required Skills:
8+ years of relevant experience in the IT services or software development industry
Demonstrated experience in leading data centric development teams from idea to implementation within complex organisations
Deep knowledge of modern data analytics, big data approaches and technologies, such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka
Experience in data modelling, data design and persistence (e.g. warehousing, data marts, data lakes).
Experience in data management best practices, real-time and batch data integration, and data rationalization
Wide experience with relational, non-relational and legacy databases, ETL and data warehouseing
Experience with data services from leading cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services)
Experience in creating and using data centric web services
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Experience in integrating end-to-end data solutions
Bachelor’s degree in Software/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field
Eligibility to work in Sweden (company will assist with visas if necessary)
Preferred Optional Skills:
Hands-on experience in the Agile/Scrum development process, ideally with test-driven development and continuous integration
