Position Description
The Data Analyst will be part of an Agile team responsible for developing innovative, high-performance, scalable web and iOS applications using modern software technologies and techniques, all in support of delivering market value consistent with our strategic vision. You will have an opportunity to have a positive business impact and to grow your skills in cutting-edge technology. The data analyst will also work both independently and with business stakeholders to analyze our data and turn it into useful information. This information will be leveraged to make recommendations for initiatives set to improve business operations and help achieve strategic business objectives. This requires proficiency in business intelligence tools, solid database skills (SQL), technical understanding of data architecture, data modeling, data mapping, integrations, and a strong business sense. You will work with other analytics team members, business stakeholders, and data engineers to understand what our data means, where it is lacking, and how it can be modeled to make it available for analysis and visualization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Create dashboards using Power BI and other similar tools with data from various sources like Oracle, SQL, and MongoDB
2. Ability to integrate Power BI reports into other applications using embedded analytics like Power BI service (SaaS) or API automation.
3. Develop visual reports, dashboards, and KPI scoreboards using Power BI
4. Connecting to data sources, importing data, and transforming data for Business intelligence.
5. Excellent in analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports.
6. Adept in developing, publishing, and scheduling power BI reports as per the business standards.
7. Extract unstructured data from a variety of sources, manipulate data into a form suitable for analysis and then mapping data to more structured explore data using relation database
8. Proactively bring new business opportunities unearthed through data mining to the attention of business stakeholders
9. Partner with business stakeholders in framing and prioritizing business questions considering both short and long potential impact, interpret findings, quantify opportunities, and propose actions with a data-centric point of view
10. Shape, explore, and publish data for business analysis or stakeholder initiatives using core BI tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, other latest tools)
11. Ensure optimization initiatives are implemented, tracked, and reviewed post-production
12. Create and maintain documentation relating to existing processes and suggestion/presentations for improving those processes relating to the implementation
13. Perform reverse engineering of physical data models from different data sources such as CRM, Share point with SQL scripts
14. Evaluate data models and physical databases for variances and discrepancies
15. Validate business data objects for accuracy and completeness
16. Analyze data-related system integration challenges and propose appropriate solutions
17. Determine root cause of issues and apply your learnings to quickly resolve the issue and underlying root cause
18. Ability to Identify and solve for underlying operational challenges and opportunities rather than simply executing prescribed processes

Mandatory Qualifications and Requirements

• 5-7 years of progressive experience in an analytics/data engineering role
• Experience of 5+ years and familiarity with Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack having Power BI, SSAS, SSRS, SSIS.
• Mastery of SQL and a solid understanding of data architecture
• Proficiency in web analytics applications, strong database skills, and technical knowledge of website architecture preferred
