Cloud Systems Engineer

Location: [Remote/Work from home] Through Covid [Bengaluru Thereafter]

Term: Full time permanent with Solgenie Technologies, Pvt Ltd.

They should be hands-on multitaskers blessed with good attitude, communications skills and with a good grip over fundamentals.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Working in tandem with our Cloud Architecture and Cloud Support Teams to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the company.
• Manage and monitor the hosted application performance, availability and prevent outages and restore service to maximize availability.
• Migrate on-premises workloads to the cloud.
• Responsible for Proactive Monitoring & Reporting of events
• Perform daily, weekly & monthly activities for health maintenance of environments.
• Identify and troubleshoot any availability and performance issues at multiple layers of deployment, from hardware, operating environment, network, and application.
• Troubleshoot and solve customer issues on production deployments.
• Collaborate with other engineers to implement operational solutions while defining, adhering to industry best practices.
• Ensure earlier resolution to the issues to meet SLA, should follow-up with clients, wherever required, to timely resolution & minimum downtime.

Skills/Tools Required

• 3+ years of experience in a Cloud Engineer role or related position
• Expert knowledge and experience in AWS or GCP Cloud Environments.
• Understanding of foundational Google Cloud Platform services such as VPCs, Google Compute Engine, Google Cloud Storage,      Google Cloud SQL, Google Instance Group, Google App Engine, Stackdriver, Google Image, etc.

or

• Understanding of foundational AWS technologies including EC2, S3, RDS, ECS, VPC, SNS, SQS, Route53, ECS
• Good Experience with Containerization tools like Docker, Kubernetes
• Good Experience with Scripting/Automation in Python,Shell/Bash etc.
• Experience of Cloud Automations is preferred.
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Puppet/Chef/Ansible/Terraform.
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices.
• Expert knowledge of Windows Server, Linux
• Certification in AWS/GCP is a plus
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to stay focused on completing tasks and meeting goals within a busy workspace.
