What we're looking for:

You have operated large-scale highly-available distributed systems leveraging skills in software engineering, system administration, and operations process. You have been responsible for deployment automation, deployment architecture, custom operations tool development & performance scalability. You would also have experience in cost scalability, monitoring/alerting design/implementation, proactive monitoring, service availability, incident resolution and cloud networking . Working knowledge in Azure/AWS service operation, operations analytics, secrets management, and administering 3rd party software/PaaS/infrastructure would make you a great fit for this role.

Position Overview

Citrix is rapidly developing and expanding its portfolio of large-scale cloud applications across all product lines, including app/desktop virtualization, networking, and content collaboration. These applications must deliver enterprise-grade performance, reliability, and integration while leveraging consumer internet economies of scale in multiple clouds (and in hybrid scenarios that reach behind the enterprise firewall). This requires excellent architecture and dev-ops process in software development, operations, and site reliability engineering.

Citrix believes that Operations efforts are an Engineering problem, not a human problem. We are looking for talented engineers to help us build an autonomous cloud capable of reliably serving 1 billion users.  Gone are the days of logging onto a machine to fix or troubleshoot it.  That simply does not scale in large cloud environments. Instead, we build autonomy into our products, tools, and environments to do Operations for us.  Engineering a solution that can withstand failure and scaling challenges is paramount to our success. Every Cloud Platform Engineer in Unified Cloud Engineering (UCE) is responsible for the Security, Availability, Performance, Compliance, and Cost of Citrix cloud services. 

Role Responsibilities

• You will develop software with Python/C#/Go.
• Provide metrics, analytics, and observability in cloud systems.
• You will be responsible for Delivery Deliver cloud applications and resources reliably and without downtime.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement and adopt Platform products and services.Embrace Agile development methodologies ( SAFE ,SCRUM etc.).
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.

Basic Qualifications

• You have experience with algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis, software design and debugging on Windows/Linux platforms.
• Have a Bachelor's / Master's degree in Engineering (Preferably Computer Science )
• You have at least 2 years of Software Development Experience.
• You have good understanding of one or more cloud providers (Azure/GCP/AWS)
•  Have experience in Relational and NoSQL databases like SQL Server, Cosmos DB, etc.
• You have good understanding of container-orchestration platforms like Docker, Kubernetes is a plus.
• Have experience in CI/CD tools like Jenkins/Azure DevOps, etc. is a plus.
• Have experience in Infrastructure As Code and Configuration Management tools like Terraform, Ansible is a plus.
• You have experience in logging and monitoring platforms like NewRelic, Splunk, Application Insights is a plus.
