Major Responsibilities :

• Platform efficiency planning and optimization
• Responsible for Big Data platform availability for analytics
• Enhancement of the platform for robust implementation of security policies
• Proactively ensuring performance and scalability of the Big Data platform
• Integration with legacy IT systems and ingestion of internal/external datasets on platform
• 5-10 years experience as Cloudera Hortonworks Hadoop Administrator preferably in a large financial or Banking service domain
• Experience in Big data stack (Cloudera CDH 5.x, Hadoop, Kafka, Impala, Hive, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Great at debugging, troubleshooting, designing, and implementing solutions to complex technical issues
• Exposure to the big data tools to be able to perform investigation, root cause analysis and providing a solution
• Optimize and improve existing features or data processes for performance and stability
• Security implementations and checks with Apache Knox, Apache Ranger, Sentry & Kerberos
• Able to help and Guide L1/L2 support engineers to fix day-to-day Operational issues
• Cluster maintenance as well as creation and removal of nodes using tools like Ganglia, Nagios, Cloudera Manager Enterprise and other tools
• Good understanding of Chaos Engineering and Load testing
• An understanding of agile development practices and common tools, such as Github, Jira, etc.
• Certified as Cloudera and Spark administration a huge plus

Experience:

• Experience 5-10 Years of relevant experience
• Education Engineering graduate in Computer science/Masters in Computer applications Major Computer Engineering/Applications
• Knowledge System architecture, system security and privacy policies, performance tuning, system scalability
• Skill Linux, Shell scripting, Hadoop, Spark, Pig, Hive, Python, Java, SQL
• Certificate Diploma/Certificates in IT System architecture.
